The Caetani House and Grounds were managed by the Vernon Public Art Gallery from the time of Sveva's
death in 1994 until the Caetani Cultural Centre Society was formed in May 2008. The society's purpose is
to manage and maintain the property and to carry out the wishes laid out in the Last Will and Testament of
Sveva Ersilia Caetani.
Mission Statement
To establish and maintain a centre for the arts for the benefit of the residents of Vernon and
area in all artistic pursuits.
Mandate
To allow use of the house and grounds for the following purposes as the Society deems
appropriate:
- An art gallery
- A centre for art classes and workshops
- Outdoor art classes and outdoor art exhibitions
- Art convention centre
- A residence for an 'Artist in Residence' program
- Administrative offices for the Society
- Such other use as in the discretion of the Society.
Membership
You can support and encourage the Caetani Cultural Centre by becoming a member of the Society.
As a member you receive:

- Access to Sveva Caetani's renowned library of art books during office hours
- Opportunities to promote and exhibit artwork at the Caetani House and Grounds
- Voting privileges at the AGM

Office
Sveva's art studio has been converted into an administration office for the Caetani Cultural Society and
also houses Sveva's library of art books. Members of the Caetani Cultural Centre Society are welcome to
borrow and read the books on the grounds during the summer opening hours. For hours of operation please check our
